Your safety is our #1 priority. If you are in imminent danger, call 911, The National Domestic Violence Hotline on their website or by calling 1-800-799-7233. The Hotline has trained advocates who provide confidential support over the phone or via chat. Leaving can be the most dangerous time and it’s important to work with a DV advocate's on a Safety Plan. The National DV Hotline offers confidential support, 24/7 and can help you get connected to a local DV program for emergency housing, ongoing safety planning, counseling, support groups, legal advocacy services, and many other helpful resources.

VICTIM & SURVIVOR RESOURCES

Shine a Light was created to help YOU! God cares more about your wellbeing as His daughter, than He cares about the institution of marriage. We believe that your and your children’s safety is first priority and care for you as an individual is critical for the support you need.

We are a safe place for victims and survivors of abuse to get support both online and in local weekly group meetings. We can provide domestic violence education and spiritual guidance that fosters personal restoration. We also support friends and family members trying to help a loved one who is or has been abused. If you’re a community helper who desires to provide support to someone impacted by abuse, we have helpful resources for you to consider as well.

We provide weekly small groups for women in Charlotte, NC and St. Pete, FL, where we combine Christian and Domestic Violence education to help overcome the effects of abuse. Our curriculum is focused on truth, healing, restoration, your identify in Christ and overcoming the obstacles faced when impacted by abuse. It’s extremely powerful to be among other women who understand your experiences like few can, as well as provide their own perspective to help validate your feelings, encourage you, and give you hope that there is a way out.

We also provide a meal and free childcare for the weekly attendees to make attendance of the meeting an easy choice by meeting other practical, yet critical needs for our group participants.

Due to safety concerns and confidentiality, our specific meeting locations and times are not public information. To learn more about joining one of our local meetings, please submit an inquiry here
